        SAS Institute Inc., headquartered in Cary, N.C., is the world's largest privately owned computer software company. Our first association with SAS occurred in 1984 when GFBA was commissioned to provide site planning and permitting services for a new building on the fledgling SAS campus. Since that initial project, we have provided professional design services for over twenty-five campus building and improvements projects. These projects have included small-scale gardens, transportation and utilities improvements, sports and athletic facilities, and site construction documents for buildings ranging up to 400,000 square feet of gross floor area. The campus has now grown to accommodate in excess of 5,000 employees and has been recognized as an outstanding work environment.
